Planet Earth is a Discovery’s Channel miniseries. I knew it from Oprah Winfrey show. You can see the link here http://www.oprah.com/slideshow/oprahshow/oprahshow1_ss_20070330/1. If next time you can not get that link, usualy they change the site content, just go to the main site and search “Planet Earth”.

There was one scene that shocked me the most. It was about ants.

Alien in an ant

an Alien

The ant is near death. Spores from a parasitic fungus have infiltrated its body and mind…driving it insane. As cameras roll, a parasite begins to grow from the insect’s head. After three weeks, deadly spores will burst from the alien growth. “That was a sequence that I’m probably most proud of,” Huw says.

When sick ants like this one are discovered in a colony, worker ants carry them far away and leave them to die. If they don’t, thousands could suffer the same fate. Huw says he saw whole colonies destroyed by this fungus.

Or just read the strory here, http://www.oprah.com/slideshow/oprahshow/oprahshow1_ss_20070330/11

Wow! Can you imagine that? The simple live form such these ants is given capability to detect an error in its colony, and they can eliminate for further disaster. Who gives those capability? Of course, The One who creates this universe. http://www.harunyahya.com/
